My sword cuts the air like a razor
My eyes are gleaming like gold

Death Stands still

I lost my will
After days of fightings
Starvation knocks at the door
No trace of the undead king
I will be dead before his crypt

Step after step
My legs are corroding
This marsh is probably cursed
Leeches and snakes proliferate
immune to the poison they grow
Waiting for their preys’ last steps
Nourishing themselves with heroes blood
Cursing the world they’ll never see
Dark is the path
To the Undead King’s crypt
I feel the King’s curse upon me
Like a cross carving my shoulder
Wretched will be those who dare to enter
Forwhy their lives will end in torment
This eternal darkness surrounds me
Corrupting me, consuming me
I start to become part of the crypts
Melting to the walls
Dark is the path
To the Undead King’s crypt
Many threats are hidden
That could make you dead
Mortal Relic you will become
In this obscurity

Barbarian's Wrath

|
As I went down towards the crypt
Lost in my nightmares and cursed by the King
I heard someone yelling and ranting
Is this some sort of hallucination?
Advancing with caution I saw him
A muscled man wielding a giant axe
Poorly dressed, with no armor on him
Shouting and beheading every undead
Raging and wielding his axe
Like a deadly windmill
He clears the dungeon
Room after room
Every undead in the crypt
Runs afraid of his blade
It witnessed only a part of the
Barbarian’s wrath
Approaching him silently I called him
He failed to behead me by mistake
Then excused himself and shook my hand
And we continued our journey together

|
Deeper into the dungeon we descend
An infinite number of rooms and hidden crypts are before us
When will this end? When will we find the great Crypt?
The Curse is upon us and we can feel its weight
But life is already a torment and we’re living in hell
Slaying some skeleton, eating some rat upon a campfire
Sleeping some hours before leaving to the next room
That’s how the hours pass, day after day
Descending into the abyss
Until the abyss gets us
Descending into the abyss
Staring into the eyes of the dead
We found a different room
with ornated walls and ceiling
Infinite inscriptions made in an unknown alphabet
Leaded us to a hidden door
We pulled the lever and it opened
Leading us into the room
We could not believe what we saw
This should be the treasure room
Descending into the abyss
Staring into the eyes of the dead
Suddenly the door closes
We’re surrounded by skeletons
Archers and swordmen, they should be thirty or forty
We’re tired and consumed by the journey
But we should face them with our weapons
Maybe dying but with honor
Back-to-back we fight, avoiding arrows
beheading and cutting bones till they fall down
Fighting the abyss
Staring into the eyes of the dead

The Final Battle

|
The battle goes on, we are fighting 'til death
Hopeless we wield our weapons against the dead
They are still twenty or more, surrounding us
My armor took some damage, so did the Barbarian’s skin
Bleeding seems to motivate him, making him stronger
But how long can we fight until the dead prevaricate?
Suddenly I remembered what someone told me in the tavern
Grabbed a torch from the wall and threw it against an undead
Ghouls fear the fire more then everything
And when they saw one of them burning
They started to fly away like bats
And we kept slaying them easily
Finally the room was empty and quiet
And we could admire all the treasures in it
Jade, ruby and diamonds, golden jewels and crowns
Those treasures of the depths could be ours
We grabbed all that we could, filling our bags
And promised ourselves we’ll return here after the final battle
A dark gem took my attention, it was staring at me
And I was staring at it, losing myself into its darkness
It didn’t reflect any light, it was absolute black
My eyes couldn’t move, my hands were on it
And when I touched it, I felt like I was dying
Burning in death, the curse was upon me
The undead king stares at me
Told me to take his hand
Drowned me within his nightmares
Trapping me into his mind

With nothing more left than some rotten bread
Through months and years of freaking solitude
In company of rats and drunken pals
Days and days of emptiness
